TBS announced in August of 2007 that there will be a live action movie coming out in the summer of 2008. The cast will remain the same, but the script will likely be different. The movie, now called Hana Yori Dango Final will take place four years after the events of Hana Yori Dango Returns. Apparently now Tsukushi has new problems to solve. It was rumored that a third season might follow after HYD2, simply called Hana Yori Dango 3. However, in the end the producers decided to do a movie, in which will mark the end of the series.
